Tom Fucoloro was born and raised in St. Louis and studied creative writing at Knox College. He founded Seattle Bike Blog in 2010 and has been writing about bicycles ever since. His 2023 book Biking Uphill in the Rain: The Story of Seattle from behind the Handlebars was a finalist for the Washington State Book Award in nonficiton.

Tom is a dad and hockey player who believes in the power of independent media, open source software, and real art made by humans.
